Istria

Istria, as the largest Croatian peninsula and one of the best tourist destinations has been for years at the forefront of the world's tourist destinations, equally attractive for a short break and as a place where you will, if you're looking for a second home, find a safe place you will always come back over and over because of the good position and mild Mediterranean climate throughout the year.

Istria is well connected with the Croatian inland, and with other European Union countries and regions, through high quality roads and airports nearby. In particular, it is affordable and proverbially loyal guests from Italy and Slovenia, which, we are sure, return again and again, not only because of the magic that Istria offers, but also because of its favorable position.

Here you will find everything you wished for on vacation - the grandeur of nature for those looking for relaxation, cultural events and festivals, sporting and musical events for those who neither in vacation want to miss out on anything. Istria is famous for tennis tournament held each summer in Umag and the film festival in Motovun, which has so many visitors that the surrounding land becomes covered i countless tents.

In recent years, Istria has been developing rural and agro-tourism, as well as various sports and activities for active recreation, particularly cycling. Because of its favorable position, mild climate and miles of trails for cyclists (and for those who crave adrenaline, a lot of excellent trails for off-road cycling) fans of this sport will surely enjoy.

Explore the wine roads of Istria, taste the well known Malvasia and Teran in an authentic setting, participate in the olive harvest in the fall, or simply try one of the finest olive oils in the world. The hosts will be happy to boast many awards, which in international exhibitions as a rule end up in the hands of Istrian winemakers, olive-oil and truffle masters. The latter will surely be happy to show you how to (with the help of their dogs) find these hidden valuable assets in the forests of Istria. You can taste them in many restaurants in Istria, together with renowned šurlice pasta, asparagus and many other specialties of Istrian cuisine.

Istria is a special, rich in diversity. When you enter this luxury, you will be delighted and surely want to come back in the peaceful harbors and shady olive groves, in places sometimes as if time had stopped.

Pula

The wealth of Roman architecture is what Pula (Polensium) stands out among the Croatian gradovima. The star of the city is an exceptionally well-preserved Roman amphitheater in the heart of town, which dominates the landscape, and serves as an incomparably beautiful scene of summer concerts and festivals.

Visit Pula, its Triumphal Arch, the Temple of Augustus, Herkules Gates ... will tell you the story of mythical Argonauts, Romans, Venetians, Franks and the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its buildings and monuments from bygone times is a real town-museum.

Historical sights aside, Pula is the commercial city of the sea, which has managed to retain the atmosphere of a friendly little town. Only a few minutes away by bus or by car away from the beach on the peninsula Verudela in the south. The coast is full of fragrant pine forests, small cafes and romantic restaurants with excellent cuisine offered. If you go to the south along the indented coastline, you will come across the peninsula Premantura that hides a spectacular nature park, protected Kamenjak.

The view of the surrounding area is framed by the Brijuni National Park, the pearl of the natural heritage of Istria. With its fourteen islands and islets of exceptional beauty, safari park, the remains of Roman villas and forts Brijuni are a wonderful blend of nature and culture.

Medulin

Medulin - a vacation paradise with beautiful beaches, coves and outlying islands - is situated in the most southern part of Istria. Liznjan has grown together with Medulin and is the quieter of the two resorts.
The porperty has direct sea view till Cres island and is located near the sea about 500m away from the nearest beach.

The following interesting infrastructure projects are currently being implemented in Lizjnan, making it one of the most up-and-coming locations in Istria:
* New construction of the main beach incl. Beach promenade – please see plans in the appendix (this is the beach close to the property)
* Construction of a large golf course (according to operator information the largest in Istria)

The villages Medulin and Lizjnan are close to Pula, which is therefore the closest major city.

Medulin/Lizjnan are one of the important tourist resorts in southern Istria. The coast is low, sandy and well-indented. The Medulin/Lizjnan archipelago, owns about ten islands, lush vegetation cover and very favorable climate.

Protected Medulin bay is ideal for swimming and water sport (surfing, sailing etc.).
Additionally the close nature reserve half-island Prematura offers very nice sea views, quiet bays, beaches and hiking opportunities.

The place is famous for its quality classical music concerts, which are held in the summer months. Forty restaurants present a real challenge to gourmets, whether it's modern or original fish, meat or vegetarian dishes.
Furthermore Medulin is known for its popular bars, entertainment and sports opportunities.

In the village there is a number of events music, sports, and entertainment organized during the summer.

Important part of tourism in Medulin/Lizjnan are sports. With its six grass football fields, track and field facilities and favorable Mediterranean climate it is ideal for football players and other athletes. In addition, there are facilities for many sports: tennis, miniature golf, bowling, beach volleyball, horseback riding; windsurfing (surfing), sailing, horseback riding, diving, water skiing; possibility of renting motor boats, canoes, pedal boats, scooters, bicycles and motorcycles.
